Third Grade Bible Weekend Recap
Our Third Graders received their Bibles in worship this past weekend. A tradition over the years has been for our Third Graders and their families to attend a special brunch in their honor at the home of John and Anne Huffman. Because this was the final year for this event at the Huffman’s home, the Third Grade class of 2009 presented John and Anne Huffman with a beautiful bronze garden plaque which said: “To John and Anne Huffman from the Third Grade class of 2009 in appreciation for the many years you have opened your home and your garden up to little feet.” Anne told the children about finding muddy footprints in their walk-in shower one year and that prompted the 2009 Third Graders to go and find the shower and add their own footprints! Enjoy the pictures!
Vacation Bible School Returns!!!

DATE/TIME: June 22 – 26, 9:00-12:00 a.m. daily plus Wednesday night family concert with Rob Biagi
With our construction last summer, we had to cancel plans for VBS, however, this summer we’re back with what we think will be one of our most exciting VBS weeks ever at St. Andrew’s! So, we want YOU to get involved in this summer!
Here’s how you can join in the fun:
1. Let your children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors know that sign-ups begin this SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the church plaza. Materials fee is $40.00 per child or $120.00 per family (maximum). Classes fill up quickly and space is limited to 550 children.
2. WE NEED YOU! With 550 children on our campus we need lots of volunteers (200, in fact) to help in so many wonderful ways. Won’t you please consider being part of our VBS volunteer staff for the week??? I can guarantee you’ll be more blessed than you can imagine by our precious kids.
3. Everyone who signs up to volunteer at VBS is eligible to register early and sign their children/grandchildren up early (plus we offer pre-school classes only for children/grandchildren of those volunteering).
If you would like to sign up to volunteer for the week OR if you’d like to find out more about responsibilities, please contact Brieana Searcy, 949.574.2220.
