Sunday evening, November 8, several hundred members of our church community gathered for a dinner and ceremony in honor of our retiring Senior Pastor, John Huffman. John served 31 years as Senior Pastor at St. Andrew’s. Many close friends and family spoke or paid tribute to John in a video at the ceremony. Laughter, tears and fond memories were shared of not only the past 31 years here at St. Andrew’s but of John’s personal journey of all life’s adventures and the 47 years he dedicated to local parish ministry. John may be finished at St. Andrew’s but he has not “retired.” However, he continues on as Dr. John A. Huffman, Minister at Large – just the beginning of his next ministry journey.
